Elizabeth G. Kelley, 84, of Reading formerly of Wakefield and Weare, New Hampshire died on Saturday, June 19 at the Winchester Hospital.
Born in Wilton, New Hampshire on March 27, 1926 she was the daughter of the late Merton and Frances (Raymond) Brown.
Mrs. Kelley was a graduate of Somerville High School and Mt. Auburn School of Nursing. She had worked in the cafeteria at the Wakefield High School. Mrs. Kelley was a member of the Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Wakefield. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Golden Gate in Florida, V.F.W. post #7721 in Naples, Florida and the Irish-American Club in Naples, Florida.
Summer family vacations were spent traveling across the country in the family trailer. In 1968 Elizabeth and her husband Albert built the Peacock Hill Camp Ground in Weare, N.H. and operated it until 1990.
Mrs. Kelley is survived by her husband Albert S. Kelley, her three sons; Stephen J. Kelley of Carlisle, Michael J. Kelley of Dracut and David J. Kelley of North Reading, her two daughters; Patricia A. MacDonald of Goffstown, New Hampshire and Nancy E. Adams of Concord, New Hampshire and her two brothers; Richard A. Brown of Atlanta, Georgia and Ronald F. Brown of Twin Mountains, New Hampshire. She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Mrs. Kelley was predeceased by her brother Merton R. Brown and her sister Lois A. Peters.
Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield on Wednesday at 9am followed by a funeral mass in the Most Blessed Sacrament Church 1155 Main St, Wakefield at 10 o'clock. Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4-8pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association 20 Speen St, Framingham, MA 01701.
