Elizabeth Leahy

Elizabeth R. Leahy, 85, a longtime resident of Medford and Gilmanton Iron Works, NH, died on Monday, June 29 at Wingate at Reading.

Born in Arlington on September 24, 1923 she was the daughter of the late Walter K. and Margaret E. (Daley) McLean. Mrs. Leahy was raised in Arlington and was a graduate of Mary Cliff Academy High School in Winchester.

Mrs. Leahy was the wife of the late Thomas V. Leahy. She is survived by her three sons, Thomas V. Leahy, Jr. and his wife Elaine and Robert V. Leahy all of Wakefield and Peter D. Leahy and his wife Leslie of Reading. She is also survived by eight grandchildren. Mrs. Leahy was predeceased by her two brothers, Walter and Robert McLean and her daughter-in-law, Lorraine Leahy.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave. Wakefield on Thursday at 9 am followed by a funeral mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St. Wakefield 10 o'clock. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 to 8 pm. Interment will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Arlington.
