, 79, of Danville, NH and formerly of Wakefield, died on Monday, September 23 at her home.
Born in Boston on December 11, 1933 she was the daughter of the late Walter and Katherine (Bresnahan) Riggs.
Mrs.
Janiak
was a graduate of St. Mary's High School in Lynn. She had worked at Digital Equipment Corp. before her retirement. She had been a longtime resident of Wakefield and had resided in Danville for the past 9 years. Mrs.
Janiak
was a member of St. Florence Church where she was a Lector and most recently was a member of St. Anne's Parish in Hampstead, NH.
Mrs.
Janiak
was an avid knitter and crocheter and often lovingly made afghans for her dearest friends. She enjoyed reading James Patterson novels and loved playing solitaire on the computer. She also enjoyed traveling to Disney World, Lobsters at Markeys in Seabrook, NH, liked motorcycle rides with her husband on his Harley, loved to sing country music, interior decorating and bird watching. She was a collector of Hummels and Swans and loved spending time with her grandchildren and her beloved German Sheppard, Cuddles. Purple was her color of choice.

Janiak
, Sr. She was the mother of Paula Oxner of Danville, NH and the stepmother of Terry
Janiak
of Derry, NH. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave., Wakefield at 10 o'clock. A visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment will be at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
