Ellen Craffey

Ellen M . Craffey passed away suddenly on February 2,2022

She was born in Boston Ma. The daughter of the late Michael and Mary Helen Stanton.

Ellen is survived by her two sons Michael and his wife Sheila of Lynnfield, Steven and his wife Rachel of California; brother Thomas and his wife Jaqueline of Milton, Robert and his wife Carol of Easton, five devoted and cherished grandchildren Carleen and her fiancé Harrison MacDonald of Windham NH, Curtis and his fiancé Emily Briere of Lynnfield Ma, Neil of Lynnfield Ma, James US Air Force stationed in Germany and Sean of Boston Ma. She leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her siblings Jean Monahan, James Stanton, Nancy Flynn and Michael Stanton.

After raising her sons, Ellen returned to school to receive her degree in Accounting from Merrimack College. Ellen worked at Koche Membrane in Wilmington as a Senior Accountant until her retirement in 2002. She also worked as a Senior Tax Advisor during tax season at H.R. Block in Stoneham for 33 years. She then continued to work for L.I.F.E. Inc., a non-profit in Lynnfield Ma. as an accountant.

Ellen loved to travel visiting many destinations worldwide, she read 4 newspapers daily, kept up with technology, loved her family and friends and will be missed greatly by her customers who she enjoyed helping.

Her services will be held on Saturday February 19th from 10-11 a.m. at the McDonald Funeral Home 19 Yale Avenue Wakefield Ma followed by interment at Forest Hills Cemetery Lynnfield MA. Friends and family are respectfully invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, family request that you take a friend to lunch.
