Ellen Lee

Ellen A. Lee of Peabody and formerly of Wakefield and Lynn died Saturday March 17 at age 77.

Born in Lynn on September 22, 1934 she was the daughter of the late Edward and Agnes (Whelan) McDermott.

Mrs. Lee was raised in Lynn and was a graduate of St. Mary High School of Lynn. She had lived in Wakefield and had been a Peabody resident for the past 20 years. She was retired from the Ametek Company of Wilmington. She was also an active member of St. Adelaide Parish of Peabody.

Mrs. Lee was the beloved mother of James E. Lee and David A. Lee of Wakefield and Mary Beth Banios of Groton. She was the loving grandmother of Tucker, Allison, David, Aimee and James. She was also the sister of Rita McManus and the late Bill & Teddy McDermott, Alice Beaulieu and Kathy Warren.

Her funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Adelaide Church 708 Lowell St. Peabody on Wednesday at 11:00. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Lynn.
