Eric Carleton Logan, age 40, of Gaithersburg, MD, formerly of Wakefield, MA, passed away suddenly on April 30, 2016. Born on December 24, 1975 in Melrose, MA Eric was the beloved son of Carol (Parolski) Logan, of Reading, and the late Carleton Logan He was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1994. Eric graduated from Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1999, during which time he spent a semester abroad at Universidad Pontificia Comillas in Madrid, Spain. Eric was fluent in Spanish and Portuguese. He earned his Masters of Business Administration from Suffolk University, Sawyer Business School in 2008. Eric was currently employed as Director of Revenue Operations for Fidelis Cybersecurity in Bethesda, MD. He was previously employed as Revenue Manager at Acronis, in Woburn, MA.
Growing up, he enjoyed hobbies and activities that included swimming on the WHS Swim Team and for the YMCA; Pop-Warner Football; Wakefield youth baseball, basketball, and soccer. He also enjoyed skiing, snowboarding, skateboarding, bicycling, BMX competitions, and scooting on his Mongoose scooter. His musical talents included playing the piano and drums.
Eric was known for his curious and adventurous spirit, quick wit, his cars, trucks, and motorcycles. He enjoyed travel to all parts of the world and always welcomed the opportunity to sample native cuisine and experience the culture. Eric made and maintained numerous close friendships from his childhood and through his business and pleasure travel.
Eric is also survived by his only son, Eric "Kiki" Logan, age 12 of PA; his sweetheart Francine Usanase of MD; his loving sister Kristin (Logan) Horan and brother-in-law, Brian Horan, nieces Aubrey and Georgia Horan of Chelmsford; Aunt Jean (Parolski) and Robert Dickinson of Beverly, Aunt Linda (Parolski) and Alan Peterson of Acton, Maine; Aunt Lucille Correia of Chelmsford; and cousins, Steven and Vivian, Scott and Lindsay, Justin and Krista, Toby and Lauren, Michelle and Clint, Pamela, Jodi and Bill; and his friend/cousin Kyle.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the First Parish Congregational Church, 1 Church Street, Wakefield on Saturday May 21 at 11:00 am. Relative and friends are invited to attend. Visitation will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Avenue, Wakefield on Friday, May 20th, from 4-8 pm.
