Ernestine J. Rose, 91, of Lynnfield and Lunenburg died on Saturday, May 15 in Lunenburg.

Born in New Sharon, ME on June 14, 1918 she was the daughter of the late Ernest A. and Stella (Getchell) Dakin.

Mrs. Rose was raised in New Sharon, ME. She was a graduate of Boston University and earned her Master's Degree in Education and also her Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies from Boston University. She taught for many years in Lynnfield, Revere and also North Reading Public Schools.

Mrs. Rose was a member of the Centre Congregational Church in Lynnfield and also a member of the church choir. She was a Library Trustee for the Town of Lynnfield, a member of the Lynnfield Conservation Commission and also wrote the Town Report for the Town of Lynnfield. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution in Farmington, ME and the Military Historical Society of Boston.

Mrs. Rose was the wife of the late John A. Rose. She was the mother of Deborah A. Rose of Lunenburg and aunt of Stillman, Irvin, Bruce, Kurt & Kent Buzzel and Nancie Ludewig.

A graveside service will be held at the Fairview Cemetery, Farmington, ME on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave. Wakefield on Tuesday from 4 to 9 p.m.
