Ethel L. Bradford, 91 of Stoneham died Saturday March 26 at the Winchester Hospital. Born in Everett on January 19, 1920 she was the daughter of the late James & Margaret (Costello) Seymour. Mrs. Bradford was raised in Everett and was a graduate of Everett High School in 1938. She had been a Stoneham resident since 1955 and summered in Manomet where she enjoyed being surrounded by her family, reading a good book in a cozy chair and being by the ocean. She also enjoyed her lobster rolls from the Lobster Hut in Plymouth. She retired as the manager of the lunch counter of the former F.W. Woolworth Store at the Redstone Shopping Plaza and was a member of Saint Patrick Church of Stoneham.
Ethel was the beloved wife of the late William Bradford who died in 1965. She was the loving mother of Joan McGinn and her husband James of New Mexico, William G. Bradford & his wife Karyn of Plymouth and Carol A. Duffy of Medford & her late husband Vinny. She is also survived by her 8 grandchildren, Dawn, James, Scott, Christopher, Jill, Jessica, Bill and Jason. Her 7 great grandchildren, Tess, Sean, Noah, Reilley, Brayden, Joshua & Madison. She is also survived by her sister in-law Gladys Bradford, her cousin Elaine Corcoran and her very good friend Dottie Saunders.
Her funeral will be held from the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home 322 Main St. Stoneham Thursday at 9am followed at 9am followed by a funeral mass in St. Patrick Church 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10:00. Interment will be at Lindenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-8 pm.
