Etheldreda Kierstead

Etheldreda C . "Dee" Kierstead , 87, of Wakefield died Thursday, September 25, at her residence.

Born in Boston on July 20, 1921 she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Tobin) Moynihan.

Mrs. Kierstead was raised in Charlestown and was a graduate of Cathedral High School in Boston. She had retired from Zayre Department Store after many years of employment and was active in the Franklin School P.T.A. for years. She was also active in the St. Florence C .C.D. Program.

Mrs. Kierstead was the wife of the late George H. Kierstead . She is survived by her son Kevin M. Kierstead and his wife Judith of Tewksbury and her daughter Karen M. Bailey and her husband Thomas of Wakefield. Mrs. Kierstead is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother John Moynihan.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield, on Wednesday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St, Wakefield at 10 AM. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 to 8 PM. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
