Evelyn Duggan

Evelyn V. Duggan, 87, a Lynnfield resident since 1952, formerly of Ware died Thursday, December 11 at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester.

Born in South Belchertown on November 19, 1921 she was the daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Kulig) Lignar.

Mrs. Duggan was a graduate of Ware High School. She was a retired cook for the Lynnfield Public School Department and prior had worked at the Ware Knitting Company. Mrs. Duggan was a former Boys Scout and Girls Scout leader in Lynnfield. She was a member of the Lynnfield Senior Center and the Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Lynnfield.

Mrs. Duggan is survived by her husband Paul E. Duggan, her two daughters; Sharon Duggan of No. Andover and her companion Ash Chicoree and Cheryl Porter and her husband Richard of Middleton, her son Paul R. Duggan and his wife Dorothea of Saugus, her brother Joseph Lignar of Ware and her sister Virginia Bressette of Palmer. She is also survived by her five grandchildren; Jamie, Stephanie and Michele Porter and Kyle and Ryan Duggan.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield on Monday at 9AM followed by a funeral mass in the Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Grove and Salem Sts, Lynnfield at 10 AM. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 1-4 PM. Interment will be at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St, Framingham, MA 01701.
