Evelyn Hardy

Evelyn F. Hardy, 99, of Stoneham, formerly of Medford died on Tuesday, October 28 at her home.

Born in Somerville on February 14, 1909, she was the daughter of the late Charles F. and Elizabeth J. (Delorey) Hardy.

Miss Hardy was a graduate of Frederick Academy of the Visitation in Frederick, Maryland and St. Joseph College in Maryland. She was a former teacher in Medford Public Schools and a longtime volunteer for St. Patrick Church C.C.D. office in Stoneham.

She was the beloved sister of the late Francis A. Hardy and his wife Mary (Tobin) Hardy of Somerville. Aunt of Kathleen Tower and her husband Harry of Stoneham, Francis J. Hardy and his wife Yvonne of Londonderry, NH, Paul Hardy and his wife Josephine of Salem, John Hardy and his wife Elizabeth of Saugus and Evelyn Mattola and her husband Robert of E. Boston. She is also survived by many cousins, grand nieces and grand nephews.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St., Stoneham on Friday at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St, Stoneham at 10 o'clock. Relatives and friends may call at the Funeral Home on Thursday 3-7 PM. Interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford.
