Evelyn Picardi

Evelyn M . Picardi , of East Boston and Reading, died Tuesday, August 5 in Wakefield. She was 90 years of age. Born in Oelwein, Iowa on August 20, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Zoe (Hanson) Lenius. She was raised in Iowa and was a retired seamstress and had been a member of the Winthrop Art Association.

Mrs. Picardi was the beloved wife of the late Samuel C. Picardi . She was the loving mother of Susann C. Palermo and her husband Robert of Lynnfield and Sandra K. Spinazola and her husband Anthony of Wilmington. She was the sister of the late Charles Lenius, Kay Lane and Betty Manley. She was the loving grandmother of Zoeann Restuccia, Michael Spinazola, Allyson Ligor, Christopher Palermo and the late Tracy Spinazola. She is also survived by her 7 great grandchildren.

Her funeral service will be held in the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday at 10:00. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 5-8pm. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden.
