Fannie Miller

Fannie (Cerretani) Miller, 91, a lifelong resident of Wakefield died Thursday, September 3, at the Wakefield Healthcare Center.

Born in Wakefield on October 12, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Amilcare and Uliana (DiRocco) Cerretani.

Mrs. Miller was born and raised in Wakefield and was employed by Cerretani's Supermarkets for nearly 60 years.

She was the wife of the late Donald R. Miller. She is survived by her son, Ralph Bowser of Clearwater Florida and 5 brothers William and John of Stoneham, Charles and Richard of Cape Cod and Ralph of North Billerica. She is also survived by her loving niece Sharon Piccirilli and nephews Michael and Rocco Piccirilli who she lived with for the past 23 years and 35 additional nieces and nephews. Mrs. Miller was predeceased by her sister, Ruth Piccirilli, and two brothers, Orlando "Joe" Cerretani and James Cerretani.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Wednesday at 9am followed by a funeral mass in St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave., Wakefield at 10 o'clock. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 to 8pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sol Amor Hospice, 161 So. Main St. Suite 209 Middleton, MA. 01949.

Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
