Florence Adelizzi

Florence A . Adelizzi , 92 of Stoneham died on Saturday, November 15 at the Bear Hill Nursing Center in Wakefield after a long period of failing health.

She was born in Boston on June 23, 1922 and was the daughter of the late John and Nancy (Shea) McCormick.

Mrs. Adelizzi was raised in East Boston and was a graduate of East Boston High School. She was retired from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Registry of Motor Vehicles. She had been a Stoneham resident since 2006 and had also resided in Everett.

Mrs. Adelizzi was the beloved wife of the late Eugene G. Adelizzi . She was the loving mother of Eugene G. Adelizzi , Jr. and his wife Jane of Hanover and Judith Adelizzi of Stoneham. She was the grandmother of Brandon Adelizzi and his wife Jodie of Marshfield and Loryn Adelizzi of Las Vegas, NV. Great grandmother of Lily and Eva Adelizzi . She was also the sister of Ronald McCormick of TX and the late Margaret Nason, Elizabeth Sousa, Patrick and James McCormick and Agatha Carroll.

Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home 322 Main St. Stoneham on Tuesday from 4-8pm. Funeral services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Florence's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38101.
