Frances E. Giaimis, 97, of West Roxbury formerly of Wakefield died on Monday, October 26 at the Clark House in Westwood.
Born in Wakefield on October 29, 1911 she was the daughter of the late Faustino and Maria Domenico (Lombardo) Sateriale.
Mrs. Giaimis was a graduate of Wakefield High School. She had been a West Roxbury resident for the past 43 years. Mrs. Giaimis was a retired bookkeeper for the Henry S. Miller Furniture Store and had been the owner of Madison Furniture Company and Venetian Blind Company in Wakefield. She had been a member of the Young at Heart, V.F.W. Parkway and the Parkway, all in West Roxbury.
Mrs. Giaimis was the wife of the late Salvatore Giaimis. She was the mother of John S. Giaimis and his wife Ruth of Lake Charles, LA. Companion of Silverio Re' of Newton. Grandmother of Charmine Giaimis Mocsary and Anthony "Tony" Giaimis. Mrs. Giaimis is also survived by 5 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her grandson John "Sammy" Giaimis Jr., her brother Antonio Sateriale and her two sisters; Louise Paglicco and Rose Boccelli.
Relatives and friends may call at the McDonald Funeral, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield on Wednesday beginning at 9am, followed by a funeral mass in St. Joseph Church 173 Albion St, Wakefield at 11:30. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
