Frances K. Longo , 89, of Stoneham formerly of Reading died Friday, April 11 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House.
Born in Boston on October 27, 1924 she was the daughter of the late Michael J. and Sheila J. (Teahan) Moriarty.
Mrs. Longo was a graduate of St. Theresa's High School in Jamaica Plain. She had worked for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and was a retired social worker; but her greatest work was her family. Frances cherished her family and was an incredibly devoted mother and grandmother, as well as being a caretaker to her sisters.
Frances was the loving wife of the late Domenic A. Longo , with whom she shared 55 years of marriage. She was the devoted mother of Frank G. Longo and his wife Tricia of Wakefield and her daughter Dierdre K. Longo-LeBlanc and her husband Wayne of Amesbury. She was the adoring grandmother of her four grandchildren: Zachary, Justin, Alexandra and Domenic. Her legacy of love will be remembered and treasured by her family.
Her funeral will be held at the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St., Stoneham on Tuesday at 11 o'clock. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9-11am. Interment will be at VA National Cemetery, Bourne.
