Frances Brown

Frances Moore Brown , age 81, of Burlington and a former longtime resident of Lynnfield, died on Wednesday, April 28 at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington.

Born in Cain, SC on August 9, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Julius Washington and L. Plummer (Dewitt) Moore .

Frances was an active member of the Philanthropic Educational Organization and enjoyed volunteering at the Centre Congregational Church.

Frances is survived by her sister, Sybil Mashburn of Decatur, Georgia; her daughter Susan Carroll and her husband Richard of Easton, Connecticut; her son Richard Brown and his wife Tina of Westford, Massachusetts; her son Robert Brown and his wife Elzunia Syska of Marblehead, Massachusetts; her grandchildren David Carroll and his wife Alexandra, Laura Deckman and her husband Daniel, Robert Brown , Philip Brown and Briana Brown; and her great grandchildren Kaitlyn Carroll, Caroline Deckman and Sophie Deckman.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 22 at 11:00 a.m. at Centre Congregational Church in Lynnfield, Massachusetts. Memorial donations may be directed to the Memory Care – Life Guidance unit at Atria Longmeadow Place, 42 Mall Road, Burlington, MA 01803. Frances volunteered regularly in the unit while living at Atria Longmeadow Place.
