Frances Sluskonis

Frances Sluskonis , 92, of Manchester, NH, formerly Saugus, died at the Villa Crest Nursing Home in Manchester, N.H. on Friday, October 18.

Born in Norwood on March 7, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Anna (Yasities) Bardowsky.

Mrs. Sluskonis was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School class of 1939. She had retired from the Saugus Public School System as a cafeteria manager at the Saugus High School. A Girl Scout Leader and member of the Lynnhurst Women's Club, Frances had worked for the Polls during elections and had also taught Sunday School.

Mrs. Sluskonis was the wife of the late Julias J. Sluskonis . She was the mother of Julian J. Sluskonis and his wife Patricia of Nashua, NH and Susan Greene and her husband George of Saugus. She was the grandmother of Carolyn, Linda, Diane, Billy and the late Bobby. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Nancy Dahlstrom and Albina Coddington.

Her funeral will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave. Wakefield on Wednesday, October 23 at 11:00 A.M. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery, Saugus. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Friends of Lynn Woods, P.O. Box 8216, Lynn, MA 01904.
