Frank A. Capone, Sr. 72, of Stoneham and formerly Wakefield died at his home on Thursday, Nov. 14
Born in Melrose on April 26, 1941 he was the son of the late Ambrose and Nellie (Carpenito) Capone.
Mr. Capone was raised in Wakefield and was a graduate of Wakefield High School class of 1959. He was the long-time owner of F.A. Capone Landscaping of Wakefield from 1967 – 2011. Mr. Capone was a member of the Massachusetts Street Rod Assoc. and was an avid winemaker, gardener, and "Hot Rodder".
Mr. Capone was the loving husband of Andrea E. (Cook) Capone. He was the devoted father of Christin A. Oneschuk and her husband Walter & Frank A. Capone, Jr. and his fiancee Erin Murfitt all of Wakefield and Michael A. Capone of Moscow, Russia. He was the cherished grandfather of Emily and Andrew Oneschuk, and Sofia Capone. He was the uncle of Sylvia Vaccaro of TN.
His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave Wakefield, on Monday at 9 A.M. followed by a funeral mass at St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave Wakefield at 10:00 o'clock. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 1 – 5 p.m. Contributions in Frank's memory may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Gastrointestinal Research Fund 9616475, 10 Brookline Pl. Interment will be at Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose.
