Frank J. Forlizzi, 83, of Stoneham, died on Wednesday, October 15 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
Born in Boston on March 7, 1925, he was the son of the late Pasquale and Erminia (Buoncompagni) Forlizzi.
Mr. Forlizzi was a graduate of East Boston High School. During World War II he served in the US Army. Mr. Forlizzi was the former owner of Forlizzi Brothers in Chelsea.
He was the beloved husband of Susan (Lanigan) Forlizzi and the late Mary (Chiaramonte) Forlizzi. Devoted father of Deborah Forlizzi of Newburyport, Doreen Sultzbach of N. Andover and Steven Forlizzi of Reading. Dear brother of Ann Mantini of Woburn, Nicholas Forlizzi of Saugus, and the late Armando, Daniel, John, Vincent, Eva, Antoinetta and Joseph. He is also survived by loving grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and Frank Forlizzi Jr. Late Army veteran of WW II.
His funeral will be held from the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St., Stoneham on Saturday at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Patrick's Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham at 10 o'clock. Relatives and friends may call at the Funeral Home on Friday 4-8 PM. Interment will be at Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge.
