, 92, of Wakefield died Tuesday August 3 at the Wilmington Health Care Center.
Born in Wakefield on October 11, 1917 he was the son of the late Salvatore and Theresa (Cataldo)

Frank
was raised in Wakefield and was a graduate of Wakefield High School. He was the former owner of Ripa's Market on Water Street. He had served as a Corporal in the Army Air Corps during WWII.
Frank
was an avid gardener, Red Sox and Patriots fan and lover of "Big Band" music.
Mr.
Ripa
was the husband of the late Nellie (Christopher)
Ripa
. He is survived by his daughter Jeanette L. Page and her husband Thomas of Wakefield. He is also survived by his brother Peter
Ripa
of CA and his sisters Pauline Anderson and Rose Sardella both of CA and Josephine Rich of Peabody.
His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield at Friday at 9am followed by a funeral mass in St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave, Wakefield at 10 o'clock. A visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 to 8 pm. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery.
