Frank Serafini

Frank "Sonny" Serafini , 81, a life long Wakefield resident died on Wednesday, May 18 at his residence.

Born in Wakefield on December 18, 1929, he was the son of the late Concetto and Jennie (Moretti) Serafini .

Sonny was a graduate of Wakefield High School. He was the founder of the Joker's Wild in North Reading and Danvers. Sonny enjoyed traveling and model trains.

Mr. Serafini was the husband of Wilma (McCoy) Serafini of No. Reading. Former husband of Falma (Jeffrey) Serafini of Westford. Father of Frank Serafini , Jr. and his wife Mary of Westford, John R. Serafini of Revere, Wanda C. Hines and Walter S. Serafini of Woburn, Jeffrey R. Serafini and his wife Dawn of Lowell and the late Thomas C. Serafini . Brother of Frances Serafini Wye of Wakefield and the late Anna Roberto. Grandfather of Sam, Mark, Bobby, Nicki, Joey, Chris, Jeff, John, Gina, Jessie, Rob, Curtis, Dan, and Nick. Great grandfather of four. He was also the Uncle of Christine Hersey, Ida Wye, Lisa O'Connell, John Roberto, and the late Robert Roberto. Godfather of Lynne Marie Jeffrey Scott of Riverdale, GA.

His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Saturday at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave., Wakefield at 10 o'clock. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday from 4-8 p.m. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
