Gail Gorman

On Monday, August 30th, 2021, Gail Marguerite (McLeod) Gorman, loving wife and mother of three, passed away peacefully in her home at the age of 50, after a 15-month battle with metastatic melanoma.

Gail was born on October 9th, 1970 in Boston, MA to Stuart and Noreen (Ashe) McLeod. She recently found happiness working for Boston Sand & Gravel.

Gail was a graduate of Arlington High School class of 1988. She found great pride in being a mother and always wanted nothing but the best for her children. She had a passion for the Boston Bruins and was an avid music lover, tuning out the world with her headphones. She enjoyed watching Animal Planet and Chicago Fire/PD and reading the Bible. Gail loved summers spent on the beach, good weather days in the spring and fall, but she will not miss the winter. She will miss a good breakfast and a stiff martini with fresh watermelon.

She was the beloved wife of Richard Gorman. She was the loving mother of Ashley (Daniell) Williams and husband William of Medford, Kalee Gorman of Malden and James Gorman of Stoneham. She was the sister of Debbie Hegge of Nashua, NH, Diane McLeod of Danbury, NH, Larry McLeod of OR, Paul McLeod of Mexico, and Ann Marie Church of OR. She is also survived by best longtime friend Paige Cadogan, the Daniell family of Arlington, the Gorman family of Somerville and many nieces and nephews. And lastly, her beloved dog Sadee, the rescue dog that you might say adopted Gail back in October of 2020.

Her funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham on Friday at 10am. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St., Stoneham on Thursday from 4-7pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
