Gay Louise Pedros, 73, of Wakefield, formerly of Lynnfield, died at home surrounded by her family on October 26, 2010, after a long illness.
Mrs. Pedros was a life long resident of Wakefield and a graduate of Wakefield High School. She had worked for Lancome in the retail business.
Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Carlo Pedros of Wakefield; a sister Carole Savigni of North Andover; a son Dr. Philip B. Pedros of Wakefield; a daughter Cynthia A. George and her husband, Ajit K. George and their son Benjamin and daughter Isabel, of Shrewsbury, MA.
The family would like to thank Dr. Ann LaCasce and the staff at Dana Farber and Dr. Timothy O'Connor and the staff of Newton-Wellesley for the excellent care Gay received.
Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Saturday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Grove and Salem Streets, Lynnfield at 10 o'clock. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment will be at Willow Cemetery in Lynnfield.
