Geneva Collins

Geneva G . Collins , 95, of Lynn died Monday, July 4 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.

Born in Lynn of March 15, 1916 she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Jennie (Cormier) Melanson.

Geneva was a graduate of Lynn Classical Class of 1935. She spent most of her life as a resident of Lynn. She was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Lynnfield for over 55 years. Geneva retired form New England Telephone in Lynn as a Supervisor of Operators. She was one of the founding residents of Sunrise in Lynnfield, and for the past 5 years often would lead the exercise classes and the Daily Rosary. She was an accomplished Seamstress, and a devoted mother and grandmother.

Geneva was the wife of the late Martin V. Collins . She was the mother of Donna A. Anderson and her husband Richard of Lynnfield and Linda S. Manning of Milton. Grandmother of Brian Anderson, Heather Kuberski, Marisa Anderson and Catherine Manning. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass will be celebrated in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Lynnfield, Wednesday (today) at 11a.m. Interment will be at Pine Grove Cemetery in Lynn.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
