Genevieve Tassinari

Genevieve A. Tassinari, 90, of Wakefield, died on Sunday, January 25 at the Oosterman Rest Home in Wakefield.

Born in Hopedale, MA on March 24, 1918 she was the daughter of the late John and Catherine (Falta) Swed.

Mrs. Tassinari was a graduate of Bunker Hill High School in Charlestown, Class of 1936. She was a former employee of the Internal Revenue Service. Mrs. Tassinari had been a Wakefield resident for over 50 years and was a member of St. Florence Church. She also enjoyed Line Dancing.

Mrs. Tassinari was the wife of William A. Tassinari. She was the mother of Janice M. Tassinari of Great Barrington and William J. Tassinari of Wakefield and the sister of Leona Mazzapica of Haverhill, Leo Swed and the late Edward, Frederick and Benjamin Swed. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Wednesday at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave., Wakefield at 10 o'clock. Relatives and friends may call at the Funeral Home on Tuesday from 3 to 7 PM. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
