George White, Jr.

George H . White Jr ., 84 of Wakefield formerly of Stoneham died early Wednesday morning September 30, at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital.

Born in Wakefield February 20, 1925 he was the son of the late George H . and Helen F. (Burke) White .

George was raised and educated in Stoneham. He was an Army Veteran of World War II. George was a longtime Mechanic for Stoneham Ford before retiring several years ago.

He was the husband of the late Elsie A. (Evangelista) White and is survived by his son George H . White III and his wife Susan of Stoneham, a brother Alfred White of Hollywood, FL, a sister Helen Cantara of Chelmsford. He is also survived by his three grandchildren, Patricia, Colleen and Kelly. George was preceded in death by his brother William White and 2 sisters, Kay Blanchard and Nancy Pento.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield on Friday at 10am. Interment will be in Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
