, 89, of Wakefield, died on Sunday, November 16 at the Kindred Hospital in Peabody.
Born in Somerville on July 6, 1919, he was the son of the late
George
F. and Annie (Brine)
Borstell
and was raised by the late Florence (Jensen)

Mr.
Borstell
was a graduate of the Marine Corps. Institute and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. He earned his Master's degree from Northeastern University in Boston. During World War II he served in the United States Marine Corps and had retired after 20 years of service. Mr.
Borstell
was a retired Engineer from Textron Defense Systems in Wilmington.

was the husband of Mary T. (Farquharson)
Borstell
. He was the father of Janet M. Larivee of Arlington,

"Jeff"
Borstell
of Andover and Joanne M.
Borstell
of Lexington. He was the brother of Marie E. Doyle of Abington, the grandfather of Jeffrey and Brooke
Borstell
, Laurel Yonika and the late Matthew Yonika and the great grandfather of Noah Grucza. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Thursday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham at 10 AM. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 3 to 7 PM. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
