George Robbins

George H. Robbins, a life-long resident of Wakefield died at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital on Friday, January 21st.

Born in Boston on February 15, 1918, he was the son of the late William and Virginia (Meuse) Robbins.

Mr. Robbins served in the U.S. Army during WW II and had attained the rank of Pfc. He was also a former employee of the Boston Stove Foundry and Wakefield Engineering.

Mr. Robbins was the husband of the late Ruth Robbins. He is survived by his sister Katherine Buckley of Florida and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave. Wakefield on Tuesday at 12:30 P.M. A period of visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the service from 12:00 – 12:30.
