George Stansfield III

George Stansfield III, age 77, a lifelong resident of Wakefield, died Friday, January 18, 2019, following a brief illness.

Born in Maynard, MA on August 11, 1941, he was the son of the late George Stansfield Jr, and Blanche (Cunningham).

George held many careers throughout his life, from working in the corporate world, running his own landscaping business, being a handyman, and in his later years as a truck driver. One thing he always made sure of was his family was taken care of.

He was the father of George Stansfield IV and his wife Jeanine of Reading. He was the grandfather of Shelby Stansfield of Reading. He was the brother of Caroline Moretti and her companion Ray MacKenzie of Wakefield. He was the former husband to Donna Stansfield of Saugus.

Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on January 26th from 12-2pm. A private interment will be held at Glenwood Cemetery in Maynard, MA.
