George William "Bud" Timm , 68, beloved son of George and Hilda Timm , passed away peacefully on April 21 in Melrose, MA.
He was born in Boston on June 19, 1945, graduated from Norwood High School in 1964, and earned an engineering degree from Northeastern University in 1968. After attending college, he worked for Stone & Webster and Northeast Utilities in Boston and East Lyme, CT for many years thereafter. George will be remembered as a smart, fun, and engaging person who loved spending time with his family and also helping others who were in need. When not at work, George was happiest when he was spending time with his two sons and other family members, preferably on the water in and around Cape Cod. George was an avid fisherman who also enjoyed playing and coaching many sports (primarily basketball & baseball).
George will be greatly missed by his family and friends. George was the loving father of Brian Timm and his wife Sarah of Melrose and younger son Brad Timm of Amherst. He was the brother of Priscilla Meyer and her three children - Kristin Egan, Karen Salzano, and Erik Meyer of Foxboro. George was pre-deceased by his younger sister Marilyn Timm of Norwood. During the last few years of his life, he found new joy in his two grandchildren, Scarlett and Bryce Timm , both of Melrose.
