Gerald Case

Gerald Case, 61, Lynnfield, MA, passed away with his family by his side on Tuesday, February 5, following a brave fight against melanoma.

Born in Hoosick Falls, NY on February 4, 1952 he was the son of Julia A. (Adamovicz) Case of Winthrop and the late Guy M. Case.

Mr. Case is a native of Winthrop and graduated from Winthrop High School. He spent much of his career working in the Boston area. He truly enjoyed his years working for Eagle Electric and JF White Contracting Company. He was a member of the Saugus Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. He was known for volunteering his time to the organization for building expansions in various areas.

He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 43 years, Deborah (Yarrow) Case. The bitterness of his loss is felt by his two daughters and their husbands, Lauren and Jeremy Ross of Johnson City, Tennessee and Courtney and Matthew Carrier of Knoxville, Tennessee. He will be deeply missed by his five adoring grandsons Samuel Ross, Zachary Ross, Cooper Carrier, Jackson Carrier, and Miles Carrier, his mother Julia Case of Winthrop, his brother Ron Case of Newburyport, wife Kate, and their three children Adam, Alex, and Jaime, and his nephew Chris Yarrow of Winthrop, his nieces Cathy and Mary Yarrow and his late nephew Billy Yarrow.

He touched many lives with his quiet dignity and his loss will be mourned not only by his family, but by many friends and workmates. His light shined so brightly and went out too soon.

A funeral service will be held at the Saugus Kingdom of Jehovah's Witnesses, 6 Kingdom Way, Saugus Monday at 11 a.m. A visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. Interment will be at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody.
