Gertrude Paon

Gertrude F . Paon , 89, a lifelong Wakefield resident, died Sunday July 11 at the Bear Hill Nursing Center in Wakefield.

Born March 30, 1921 she was the daughter of the late James and Gertrude (Sliney) Paon .

Ms. Paon was educated in the Wakefield school system and was a member of the St. Joseph Church.

Ms. Paon is survived by her sister Mary Howard of Reading, formerly of Wakefield. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass will be celebrated in the St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield on Tuesday at 10:00. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Joslin Diabetes Center, One Joslin Place, Boston, MA 02115 Attn: Development Office. Arrangements are in the care of the McDonald Funeral Home.
