Gertrude Sullivan

Gertrude V. Sullivan, 86, of Stoneham died on Friday, February 18 at the Life Care Center in Stoneham.

Born in Chelsea on February 20, 1924 she was the daughter of the late Seward and Evelyn (Mundy) Leavitt.

Mrs. Sullivan was a graduate of Chelsea High School, Class of 1942. She had been a Stoneham resident since 1964. Mrs. Sullivan was a former secretary at St. Patrick's School and was a member of St. Patrick's Parish.

She was the wife of the late Gerald J. Sullivan. Mrs. Sullivan is survived by her three sons; Gerald J. Sullivan Jr. of Stoneham, William D. Sullivan of Somerville, Robert E. Sullivan of Nashua, NH and her daughter Jean T. Ronco of Bedford. She is also survived by her 4 grandchildren. Mrs. Sullivan was predeceased by her sister Ann Christiansen.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St, Stoneham on Wednesday at 9am followed by a funeral mass in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St, Stoneham at 10am. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4-8pm. Interment will be at Lindenwood Cemetery in Stoneham.
