Gilberto Malave

Gilberto Malave, 78, of Stoneham died on Sunday, August 9 at the Wilmington Health Care Center in Wilmington.

Born in Puerto Rico on November 26, 1930 he was the son of the late Celestino and Jaunita (Morales) Malaye.

Mr. Malave was a retired painter for the former New England Memorial Hospital in Stoneham and was an active member of the Seventh Day Advent Church in Stoneham and New York.

Mr. Malave was the husband of Milagros (Aponte) Malave. He was the loving father of Evelyn Malave of Stoneham, Louis Malave of Dracut and Maria Malave of Melrose. He was the brother of Virginia Torres of Puerto Rico. He was the loving grandfather of Wendy, Sarah, Devin and Joseph and great grandfather of Savannah and Avery.

A Funeral service will be held in the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St., Stoneham on Friday at 11am. Relatives and friends may call at the Funeral Home on Thursday 2-5 and 6-9pm. Interment will be at Lindenwood Cemetery in Stoneham.
