Gilda DeFeo

Gilda DeFeo, 85, of Wakefield died on Wednesday, March 20 at the Daniels House in Reading.

Born in Wakefield on October 12, 1927 she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Annunziata (Evangelista) DeFeo.

Ms. DeFeo was a life long Wakefield resident. She had worked for Evans Shoe Company in Wakefield. Ms. DeFeo was a member of St. Florence Parish in Wakefield.

She is survived by her sister Connie Ellis of Wakefield and many nieces and nephews. Ms. DeFeo was predeceased by her six brothers; Angelo DeFeo Jr., Louis DeFeo, Victor DeFeo, Phil DeFeo, Rico DeFeo and Freddy DeFeo.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield on Saturday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave, Wakefield at 10am. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday from 4-7pm. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Daniel's House, 59 Middlesex Ave., Reading, MA 01867
