Gladys Davis

Gladys Amanda (Woodbury) Davis, 98, of Lynnfield, died on Friday, August 5 at Aurora Senior Living in Derry, New Hampshire.

Born in Lynnfield on March 1, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Herbert P. and Gladys (Ward) Woodbury.

Mrs. Davis was a life long resident of Lynnfield. She was a graduate of Wakefield High School and Framingham Normal School. Mrs. Davis was a member of the Centre Congregational Church. She was a past president of the Lynnfield Women's Club and a member of the Lynnfield Historical Society. Mrs. Davis was employed by Worthen's Market, in Lynnfield.

She was the wife of the late Robert W. Davis. Mrs. Davis is survived by her son, Robert W. Davis and wife Nancy of Naples, FL, her daughter Barbara McIntire and husband Mac of Bristol, NH, and her son Richard W. Davis and wife Claudia of Lynnfield. She is also survived by her two sisters, Virginia Davis and Barbara Bean of Lynnfield, and her brother Bruce Woodbury and wife Brenda of Reading. She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren; Stephen Davis, of Mansfield, Cheryl McIntire, of Hookset, NH , Scott McIntire, of Londonderry, NH, Susan Davis Stewart, of Carlsbad, CA, Karen McIntire Thomas, of Hampstead, NH, Sharon Davis Fenderson, of Lynnfield, Jennifer Davis Carney, of Lynnfield, and sixteen beloved great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at the Centre Congregational Church, 5 Summer Street, Lynnfield on Monday August 8 at 11 AM. Prior to the service, friends are invited to visit with the family at 10 AM in The Fireside Room at the church.
