Gladys Rice

Gladys Eileen (Edmands) Rice , 82 of Fremont, NH and formerly of Wakefield died August 19 in Fremont, NH. Born in Wakefield on November 2, 1929 she was the daughter of the late Francis & Margaret (Gorman) Edmands. She was raised in Wakefield and was graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1947. She will be truly missed by all who loved her.

Mrs. Rice is survived by her husband of 62 years Charles F. "Bud" Rice. She was the mother of Kathleen Schmidgall and husband Jack of Byfield, Charles F. Rice of Raymond, NH, Patricia Robertie of Brentwood, NH, Michael J. Rice of Norco, CA and Sharon J. Pierce of E. Wakefield, NH.
She was the sister of Agnes Jones of GA, Margie Gibbons of RI, June Pizzano and Rita Lovett of Wakefield and the late Francis Edmands and Theresa Ledoux. She is also survived by her 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Her funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Florence Church 47 Butler Ave. Wakefield on Thursday at 1:00.pm. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home 129 Yale Ave. Wakefield prior to the funeral mass beginning at 9am. Interment will be private.
