Gloria Defrancesco

Gloria J. (Storti) DeFrancesco, 83, of Wakefield died Monday, July 27 at the Bear Hill Nursing Center.

Born in Wakefield on November 3, 1925 she was the daughter of the late Sam D. and Mary (Santoro) Storti.

Mrs. DeFrancesco graduated from Wakefield High School in 1943. She and her husband Peter were the owners of Storti Sub Shop in Chelsea. She was also a member of St. Florence Church.

Mrs. DeFrancesco was the beloved wife of the late Peter DeFrancesco. She is survived by her loving daughter Marie Scott and husband Daniel of Wakefield. She was the cherished grandmother of Kristin Scott and her fiancé Joseph Verity, Melissa Shirtcliff and her husband Christopher, Patrick Scott and his wife Kelsey. Devoted great grandmother of Isabella and Christopher. Loving sister of Norma Donovan of NH.

Funeral from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield, Friday at 9am followed by a funeral mass in St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave., Wakefield at 10 o'clock. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 4-8pm. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
