Gloria Palumbo

Gloria C. Palumbo, 74 of Stoneham formerly of Malden died at her home on Monday April 1.

Born in Chelsea, May 3, 1944 she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Charlotte (LaLiberty) Dion.

Gloria was raised in Chelsea and was a graduate of St. Rose High School in Chelsea class of 1961. She was a longtime resident of Malden before moving to Stoneham in 2013. Gloria was retired from Melon Bank as a Data Processor. She most recently was working for Marshalls at Redstone Plaza in Stoneham. In her spare time she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, bingo and playing cards.

Gloria was the beloved wife of the late Lawrence N. Palumbo. She was the loving mother of Lawrence F. Palumbo and his wife Stacey, Joseph O. Palumbo and his wife Tanya all of No. Andover, and Michael H. Palumbo and his wife Cristina of Stoneham and the sister of Anna Hess of Londonderry, NH, Charlotte Howard of FL and the late Oscar Dion and Aline Mitchell. She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren, Jason, Lauren, Nicholas, Matthew, Amanda, Anthony and Mark.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St., Stoneham on Thursday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham at 10 o'clock. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m.

Interment will be at Lindenwood Cemetery in Stoneham.
