Gloria Monterisi

Gloria R . Monterisi , 83, of Wakefield, died Wednesday April 7. Born in Arlington, MA on September 10, 1926 she was the daughter of the late Anthony & Genevieve (Meoli) Ioanna. Mrs. Monterisi was raised in Arlington and was a graduate of Arlington High School. She worked for the Federal Government, and later worked as a Medical and Dental Assistant for the Town of Winchester Board of Health. She was a member of the High Mountain Ski Club of No. Conway, NH where she met her husband Sergie. She had been a Wakefield resident for the past 25 years and was a member of St. Joseph Church of Wakefield.

Mrs. Monterisi is survived by her husband Sergie C. Monterisi . Her two sons, Joseph of Methuen and Robert & wife Jane of Windham, NH. She was the sister of Emma Blanda of Reading and the late Frank Ionna, Viola Bruno & Julia O'Keefe. She is also survived by her 3 grandchildren Heidi, Tracy & Jared.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home 19 Yale Ave. Wakefield Friday at 9am followed by a funeral mass in St. Joseph Church 173 Albion St. Wakefield at 10:00. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Thursday 4-8 pm. Interment, Forest Glade Cemetery.
