Grace Hegarty

Grace M. Hegarty, 92, of Wakefield died on Tuesday, January 26 at the Winchester Nursing Center.

Born in Somerville on April 16, 1917 she was the daughter of the late Thomas F. and Mary G. (McDonald) Robinson.

Mrs. Hegarty was a graduate of Medford High School, class of 1935. She was a retired clerk for the First National Stores in Reading and Melrose.
She was also a member of St. Joseph parish in Wakefield and the Wakefield YMCA Auxillary.

Mrs. Hegarty was the wife of the late Joseph J. Hegarty who died in 1986. She is survived by her two sons, Tom Hegarty of Middleton and David Hegarty and his wife Lynne of Winchester and her daughter-in-law Paula Hegarty of Methuen. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren. Mrs. Hegarty was predeceased by her two sons, Stephen and Joseph Hegarty and her four brothers, Arthur, John, Walter and Tom Robinson.

A funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 10 o'clock. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment will be at Lakeside Cemetery in Wakefield.
