Grace Marie Piccolo , 75, a longtime Wakefield resident, died Wednesday, April 16, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.
Born in Boston on September 26, 1938 she was the daughter of the late Sabino and Grace (Lanza) Pinelli.
Mrs. Piccolo was a graduate of Julie Billiart High School of the North End in Boston. She had been a Wakefield resident since 1971 and was a devoted member of St. Joseph's Parish. She enjoyed music, dancing and had beautiful singing voice. Grace was an extraordinary cook and loved to spend time entertaining family and friends.
Grace was the beloved wife of the late Frank A. Piccolo . She was the loving mother of Linda Piccolo-McCaffrey and her husband Joseph of Wakefield, Denise Hayes and her husband Michael of Wilmington, and Frank C. Piccolo of Wakefield. She was the cherished grandmother of Francesca and Olivia McCaffrey. She was the sister of Mike Pinelli of Reading, Evelyn Anderson of Raynham, Mildred Campo of Norwood and the late John Pinelli.
Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Saturday at 8am followed by a Blessing in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 9 o'clock. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 4-8pm. Interment, Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
