Harold Bennett

Harold J. Bennett of Peabody, a former Wakefield and Cambridge resident died Friday December 5. He was 89 years of age. Born in Wakefield on Decmber 13, 1918 he was the son of the late Alton F. & Emma A. (Edgett) Bennett . Mr. Bennett was a graduate of Wakefield High School and later served in the U.S. Army during W.W. II. He was retired from the H.P. Hood & Sons Company and also from BayBanks.

Mr. Bennett was the husband of the late Eileen T. (Leahey) Bennett . He was the father of Sharon A. Squires of WA, Beverly V. Bennett -Maine of IL and the late Barry M. Bennett & Roberta Bennett-Calorio. Brother of Alton Bennett of NJ and the late Robert Bennett . He is also survived by his loving companion Florence "Honey" Gould of Wakefield and 7 grandchildren.

Visitation will be held in the McDonald Funeral Home 19 Yale Ave. Wakefield Sunday December 7 from 1-3 PM. A funeral service will be conducted beginning at 3:00 PM. Private interment will be at Lakeside Cemetery in Wakefield.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Assoc. 61 Broadway New York, NY 10006
