Harry B . McOuat , 83, of Wakefield, died on Tuesday, August 30 at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington.

Born in Staples, Minnesota on March 21, 1928 he was the son of the late Henry B . and Veronica (Jakubik) McOuat .

Harry was a graduate of Cathedral High School in Deluth, Minnesota and the University of Minnesota. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was a retired engineer for the Charles Draper Labs in Cambridge.

Harry had been a Wakefield resident since the early 1960s and was a very active member of St. Joseph Church where he was an Alter Server, Lector and Eucharistic Minister. He was also a member of St. Vincent De Paul; the New England Genealogical Society for the past 20 years and a long time subscriber to the Boston Symphony Orchestra.

Harry was the husband of the late Mary Jane (Russ) McOuat . He was the brother of the late Alice M. Kendall, and Nancy Ann McOuat . He is also survived by 5 nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Saturday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 10 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment will be at Hibbing Park Cemetery in Hibbing, MN.
