Helen Pendergast

Helen M . Pendergast , age 101, of Lakewood , Colorado and formerly of Wakefield died July 29 in Colorado.

Born in Wakefield on April 20, 1911 she was the daughter of the late Ira & Charlotte (Downs) Harper. Mrs. Pendergast was a retired elementary school teacher for the town of Wakefield for many years

Mrs. Pendergast was the wife of the late Harold Pendergast . She was the mother of the late Charlotte E. de Castro. She is survived by her sister Charlotte Green of Wakefield and her brother Cyril Harper of RI. Also her grandson Christopher de Castro of GA and her granddaughter Lisa Lindenlaub of CO. She was also the great grandmother of Noah and Aiden Lindenlaub and Aleesa, Cate and Sagan de Castro.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Tuesday August 7 at 8 a.m. to be followed by a funeral mass in the Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St., Wakefield at 9 o'clock. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home Monday 4-8pm. Interment will be at St. Patrick Cemetery in Stoneham.
