Helen McNall

Helen F. (Treanor) McNall died peacefully at home on Friday, September 20, 2019, just as she wished. Born September 8, 1931, she was the daughter of the late James and Catherine (Donovan) Treanor.

Helen was raised in Medford and was a graduate of Saint Clements High School. She moved to Wakefield to raise a family after marrying the late Thomas F. McNall Sr. and was a retired office administrator.

She was the loving mother of Thomas F. McNall Jr. and his wife Deborah of Wakefield; Janice (McNall) Kiss and her husband Mark of Holbrook; Cheryl (McNall) Cannon and her husband David of Reading and Kenneth J. McNall and his late wife Jennifer of Wakefield.

Helen is predeceased by her sister, Ruth C. Treanor; her brother, James "Buddy" Treanor and is survived by her brother, Richard C. Treanor. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

In her younger days Helen was an avid tennis player and enjoyed walking the lake with her many friends. Later in life she enjoyed traveling and winters in Florida with her longtime companion Al Romano of Wakefield. Helen was a self-proclaimed "Beach Bum" and spent many summers with her family at Hampton Beach and managed one last trip to the beach a week before her passing. She loved spending time with her family and beloved grandchildren.

Helen enjoyed playing cribbage with anyone willing and purple was her favorite color.

Her funeral service will be held in the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Tuesday at 11am. Visitation for relatives and friends at the Funeral Home on Monday from 5-7pm. Interment, Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
