Helen F. Sullivan, 94, of Wakefield died on February 9 in Reading after a long period of failing health.

Born in Boston on February 10, 1917 she was the daughter of the late John & Catherine (Whelan) Murphy.

Mrs. Sullivan was raised in South Boston. She had been a Wakefield resident since 1946. She was a member of St. Florence Church and also a member of the Ladies Sodality of the church.

Mrs. Sullivan was the wife of the late Daniel J. Sullivan. She was the mother of Robert D. Sullivan and his wife Martha of No. Reading, Dennis Sullivan and his wife Marcia of Tewksbury and Thomas Sullivan and his fiancé Michelle Laughlin of Wakefield. Helen is also survived by her grandchildren; Jessica and her husband James Gabriel, Caitlin, Leah and Jennifer Sullivan and her great grandchildren; Alexis Pimentel, Ally Grace Pimentel and Ruthie Maeve Sullivan. She is predeceased by her infant son Daniel J. Sullivan and her 11 siblings.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Tuesday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave., Wakefield at 10 o'clock. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 4-8 p.m. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
