Helen Pretty

Helen T . Pretty , 85 of North Reading and formerly of Wakefield died in No. Reading on August 7. Born in Wakefield on July 18, 1926 the daughter of the late Patrick Joseph & Helen T . (Kelley) Maher. Mrs. Pretty was raised in Wakefield and was a graduate of Wakefield High School Class of 1944. She had been a No. Reading resident since 1957. She had been a member of the North Parish Quilters, North Reading Senior Citizens Group and St. Theresa Parish of No. Reading. She was a volunteer at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital where she worked at the Gift Shop for many years.

Mrs. Pretty is survived by her son Harold J. Pretty of No. Reading. Her two daughters, Linda A. Wright of Stowe, ME and Pamela Michaud of Brooksville, FL. She was the sister of David J. Maher of Melrose and the late Mary Sinclaire, Priscilla Maher and Joan L'Italien . She is also survived by her 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

A Graveside Service will be held at the Forest Glade Cemetery, Lowell St. Wakefield on Friday Aug. 10 at 11:00. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Heart Association 20 Speen St. Framingham , MA 01701.
