Helen G. Vona-Levens, 86, of Stoneham died on Wednesday, January 14 at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington.
Born in Walpole on September 28, 1928 she was the daughter of the late Howard E. and Louise E. (Lewis) Chase.
Mrs. Vona-Levens had been a Stoneham resident for the past 65 years. She was raised and educated in Winchester. Mrs. Vona-Levens was a retired Home Health Aid and had also worked at the Maynard H. Moore Shoe Company in Stoneham and was a former business owner of Sal's Sub & Deli in Melrose.
She was the wife of Brendon J. Levens and the late Salvatore Vona. Mother of Richard Vona of Woonsocket, RI and the late Sandra M. Groves. Grandmother of Ryan C. Groves, Lauren M. O'Brien and Melissa Vona. Also survived by her two great grandchildren; Cheyanne and Trevor Hoole.
A funeral service will be held in the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St, Stoneham on Saturday, January 24th at 11am. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home prior to the service starting at 9am. Interment will be at Lindenwood Cemetery in Stoneham.
